UK Extended Treble Crochet or US Extended Double Crochet

The extended treble/double crochet is a variation on the regular treble/double stitch so it is a easy stitch to complete – even for the beginner. This stitch is slightly bigger than the regular stitch and is a great stitch when bringing pieces of work up to height.

The instructions below show step by step how to create the stitch.

Yarn Over

Insert into stitch & Yarn over

Pull through
3 loops remain on the hook

Yarn over

Pull through 1 loop

3 loops remain on the hook

Yarn over

Pull through 2 loops
2 loops remain on the hook

Yarn over & pull through 2 loops

1 extended stitch complete
